The Simple Things
It’s 2:16 A.M. and I’m sitting in my bed admiring how fast my husband ran to the living room when he heard a big boom. Y’all, his momma fell off the couch 😂😂😂😂😂 she said she was trying to reach for her phone charger and the whole couch folded on her. The crazy thing is, I didn’t hear a damn thing 🤦🏽♀️ so if she was here with me alone, my poor mother in law would have been folded until the A.M 🤷🏽♀️ she aight though. I’m like damn we gone have to set up a life alert up for her a little early 😂Help me, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up. I pray she doesn’t read my blogs.
I’m super excited that she came down to spend an entire week with us 🙌🏾 y’all know she been in the kitchen errr day whipping 💃🏽 I have learned so much about my husband just from watching his interactions with his mom. I’m so happy that God blessed him with such an amazing mother. When she needs anything, he’s right there! He goes out of his way for his mom very similar to what he does for me 🤗 It was funny watching her call his name from the other room to give her something she could have gotten herself. Its the simple things that he does that melts my heart ❤️
Speaking of simple let’s all focus our attention on this $3 bandeau top, $20 Fashion Nova Jeans and my $15 Drawstring ponytail. Yes sis, drawstring 🙃 and the only person you should be judging is your momma or yourself. You probably got a hole in your panties 😂 We spent our day at the Los Angeles Observatory and we had such a great time. It was nothing but foreigners there and we were the only black people which means, 😎 ya girl was Beyoncé for 2 hours. 😂 People literally were taking pictures of us and you know I took all that shit in. I should have start charging $5.
Watching these foreigners be so amazed by the simple things really opened my eyes up to how blessed we are here in the U.S. even with all the racism etc. They were so satisfied by pictures and being able to be free. Most women were required to be covered all the way up and it was hot AF. One family of 3 young girls, 2 women, and 4 men really took a liking to us. I enjoyed taking selfies with them even when they tried to sneak them in at first. The best things in life aren’t things, but these moments that we get to spend learning about others and enjoying family and friends.
