No Pressure
You know that guy you just hit up for money and food? Or that girl that let you smash without knowing your name? Yeah, that’s what a life with no pressure is. If it’s easy, you’ll never appreciate it.
Sometimes I feel like no matter how hard I try to fix a situation, pressure, anxiety, and stress just be sitting there like “Hey biittccchhh” we coming to visit for a while.
Life pressures can be overwhelming as hell. We have to fight daily against financial pressure, emotional pressure, school pressure, family pressure, work pressure, peer pressure, and the extreme pressure to succeed. If I could carry pressures on my taxes I’d be out here walking around a** naked with a fur on in Walmart.
Let me invite you into all the pressures I’ve dealt with today and I’ve only been up for 6 hours.
I laid on the couch thinking about what the next 5 years of my life will bring. Yeah, that was a waste of time.
I still have an apartment full of furniture back in Dallas that I need to sell by tomorrow
I feel pressured to maintain relationships with people that probably won’t be in my life next year
I’m trying my hardest to adjust to a new city, job, blog, and still throw that a** in a circle on my hubby frequently.
I looked at my loan balance today and I died. I’m currently looking for somebody to hack Sallie Mae system 👀
It was raining on my way to work, I caught every red light and I was late
The trucking company that’s delivering my bed to STL isn’t picking up the phone
My windows won’t let down and my windshield wipers are trash. My gas light on, but I know my car.
I’ve been feeling the need to be valued by folks I don’t even know.
Family Pressure 😩 Bruh!
Did I mention my loans?
I often try to think about what life without NO PRESSURE would be like, but then I’m reminded of the many advantages that pressure brings me daily as well.
Pressure reminds me that I’m not in control. God has a purpose for our trials. Pressure is used to test our faith to mature and grow us in our relationship with him.
Pressure creates leaders. When all the odds are stacked against you, you have no choice but to step up and be the best you.
Pressure builds character. Some people buckle under pressure, while others boss up and let that situation shape their mentality and work ethic.
Pressure forces you to grow. Because if you don’t do it, it won’t get done! It’s not just about facing trials, but how you respond to them and how you use those trials to advance you in life.
It’s important to know the difference between when pressure is benefiting you vs. when its paralyzing you. Sometimes you need to step back, analyze your situation, and chill out.
Here are a few things that I tell myself when I’m feeling pressured.
Be simple- Nothing in life is that serious. What if you died tomorrow? Would you be satisfied with the life you lived today?
Take your own advice- You know you best.
You’re going to fail. Shake that shit off
Do it! Whatever it is. Who’s better than you?
Prioritize, but ALWAYS take care of YOU first
You’ll never be perfect, so don’t even try it.
Pressure is unavoidable. Pressure helps you breathe, literally. Pressure helps you create your best results. Put on your big girl panties and battle it like a champ.
