KETO VS VEGAN
Keto Lifestyle
The Keto Lifestyle is a low carb high fat diet. By lowering the intake of carbs, it forces your body to produce ketones (breakdown of fat in the liver) driving your body into Ketosis. Your body then burns those ketones as a primary source of energy. So basically your body becomes a fat burning machine. Carbs produces insulin and glucose, so our body naturally uses that as our primary energy source. Therefore, your fats aren’t really needed and are stored instead of burned off. Most people try to stay below 20-30 grams of carbs per day. You can download My Fitness Pal or The Ketogeneic tracker to keep tract of your carb intake.

After experiencing both lifestyles I would go vegan over being on the Keto lifestyle any day. I know being Vegan is hard, it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but you really feel the difference in your body. I just felt light at all times, never stuffed, heavy, or bloated. I also liked that I went to the restroom way more on the vegan diet. It was a confirmation to me that my body was being cleansed and detoxed at all times. I barely go with the Keto lifestyle unless I eat food super high in fiber. I don’t trust the Keto lifestyle long-term. Eating a lot of foods in fat can cause significant heart problems long term and I ain’t got nothing for that. I already have health issues that I struggle with.
I lost weight on both diets. Will I go Vegan tomorrow, nope. Going cold turkey is what turned me back to meat so quickly. I plan on weaning myself off of dairy and meat over time. I think it will be better for me to cut things little by little. It’s going to be hard, but I’m thinking about long term effects. I know I can die tomorrow, but just in case I don’t 😂 I’ll live to I’m 106 to see my great great grandkids.
Which diet do you prefer?
KETO- LEFT (muscles more defined)
VEGAN-RIGHT (smaller waist)
