Top 10 Excuses: Why I Don't Eat Healthy

1) It's expensive!!!!

2) I'm tired of Chicken and Fish. I hate veggies.

3) I can die tomorrow sooooo I'm just going to eat this bag of Hot fries

today.

4) I need to eat all the bad food in my house first.

5) I'm going to start my diet on Monday.

6) Ooops I missed Monday. I'll just start on the 1st of the month to give myself a clean slate.

7) I'm on my period and I'm just stressed out.

8) Ice Cream makes me happy and I deserve to be happy.

9) I walked up the steps today. Ooooohh cake.

10) This is only 360 calories. I'll walk that off. (Scroll on social media all day)

I'm sure everyone has thought at least one of these things before. Eating healthy is most definitely a struggle, for me anyway. I just love food so much! However, we all know that eating unhealthy all the time can lead to so many preventable health complications. It's just hard to think about my health when "bad" food is so aesthetically pleasing and delicious.

Encouragement Tips

1) This is a lifestyle change not a diet. Repeat it with me! This is a lifestyle change not a diet.

2) Take it one day at a time. Most of the time when we go cold turkey we are back to eating cookies and brownies the next week. Cut sweets/soda first, then carbs if you struggle with that. Give your body time to adjust to this change.

3) Don't compare your weight loss to other people. Sometimes we get discouraged because you and Kee-Kee been doing the same diet plan. She lost 7 pounds and you only lost two. It's okay sis. Every body works differently. Your time will come boo.

4) Stay Consistent. This is probably one of the most important factors of eating healthy. You can do no carbs for one week and loose 5 pounds. Next week you eat a donut and gain 6 pounds. This has to be a life-style change! This is not for your Miami trip coming up next week. (We've all done it)

5) Get a true dedicated friend, relative etc. to join you. It's always easier when we have a little motivation.

6) Set some goals, build a plan, give your self a date to accomplish it, and KILL IT!
