Yayyyyyy. 5 pounds down in 5 days. I’m sure it’s all water weight, but it’s a start. The struggle was so real! After my “fuck it up” meat eating February, I decided to start my vegan journey with a 5 day detox. I only did 5 days to match my work schedule. I meal prepped different fruit smoothies (mango, pineapple is my fav 🙌🏾) mixed veggies, fruits, pistachios, and occasional dairy free yogurt. I notice that my body really reacts to a “plant based diet” it’s like the weight just falls off. I also TRY to drink 3L of water a day. I did not workout while doing this. BUT, today I did start my new gym *twerking^. I’m excited to start sharing my workout routines with you all.

I’ve been finding hella vegan recipes, so I’m going to TRY to stay consistent as possible. Honestly, Just to keep it 200, I may just be vegan like 5 days a week lol and vegetarian the other two. Shit I'm struggling. Now, I’m praying not to have any seafood slip ups, but I won’t be to hard on myself if I do 🤷🏽‍♀️. If you want to loose a few pounds, GO VEGAN. Its really not as bad as most people think it is. There are plenty of restaurants including fast food that have a variety of vegan options for you to choose from. I even found some vegan ramen noodles 🙌🏾 Check out some of my meal preps from my 5 day detox below.

P.S I had two tacos from Torchy Tacos as soon as I got off work. 😩 I ate them tacos in the parking lot and I am not ashamed. If you ever go to Torchy Tacos get the Independent and tell them to make it vegan! 🙌🏾 Jesus be in the kitchen cooking them fried mushrooms! And if you ain't never had fried mushrooms, fix your face ugly. Love ya though. Let's get fine together! 

Veggies- I ate a lot of edamame and string beans. My mixed veggies included Bell Peppers, Onions, Broccoli, and Carrots with Vegan Teriyaki sauce. Celery dipped in vegan dressing.

Smoothies- Strawberry Banana, Pineapple Mango,Blueberry Mango. I could do the pineapple mango everyday. To peel the mango use a potato peeler. 

Fruit- Apple with peanut butter, mango, oranges and kiwis

Salad- Romaine Lettuce (get the big bag from Sams $3) bell peppers, onions, cucumbers, and eggs. I do occasionally use vegan cheese, but I can do without. 

 

This salad does have eggs in it, but I skip around them. Ii use Vegan Ceasar or Vegan Ranch. Taste like the real thing.
