Risk It
I once moved to another state with $34 to attend a school that I knew I couldn't afford. The financial aid guy actually told me "it wouldn't be a smart decision for you to come". I said nah fuck that. I drove down on pure faith, and although I knew I was putting my future at risk I could accept failing, I couldn't accept not trying. I thought, I'm gonna show up and show out! I'm going to excel at everything that I do, I'm going to make these people want me here. Taking that risk led me to receiving a scholarship to pay for the remainder of school/housing and much more. It also helped me release the fear of failing, boosted my confidence, and provided opportunities for me I've never thought could happen. So if there is something that you really want to do, get off your ass, research, network, risk it, and do it! Don't sit around waiting for your dreams to come to you. It ain't gone happen captain. I'm ready for more!
Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far it is possible to go.” — T.S. Eliot
S/O to all my instructors and the vice president of that school though (Kris, John, Lesa) I'm forever in debt with you :)
