What Goes Around Comes Around

I experienced my first Ferris Wheel ride with the man of my dreams. I felt like a teenager sneaking on a date after I told my mom I was going to my friends house to work on a group project. It was fun to experience something so old, but new with my husband. As the Ferris Wheel went around and around we just kept looking at each other smiling, exchanging kisses, taking pictures, and enjoying life.

We’ve all heard the saying what goes around comes around. We usually link this saying to the negative law of karma. If you do something bad, it will come back to you, and I honestly do believe that. But yesterday I thought about this “law” differently. Before getting on the Ferris Wheel I was nervous. My friend didn’t make it any better as she talked about how these things always get stuck blah blah. I kept rethinking my decision. I mean who wants to be taken out by a Ferris Wheel. Of course my fearless hubby was on my side telling me that I would be just fine, so of course I proceeded. When the ride started I felt my nerves getting bad as we got to the top and stopped as the mechanic was letting other passengers on. At first I didn’t want to look, but when my husband grabbed my hand and smiled at me, I let go of all my fear.

Wow, we could see the entire Long Beach. It was beautiful beyond words. As the Ferris Wheel continued to go around and around I kept finding more beauty in the city and the people whom I was surrounded with. Karma is not the only thing that comes back around. Positivity, Giving Love, Smiling, and Enjoying Life goes around too when you spread it. Just a simple smile from my husband and him grabbing my hand said so many words without a word being spoken. His energy made me feel safe. His smile let me know that everything was going to be okay. Spreading love, encouragement, and positivity is crucial not only for yourself, but for those around you as well. Emotions are contagious. When you have a sense of peace on the inside of you, that energy radiates to those around you. My husband actions were so simple, yet very effective. He read my body language and he knew how to put me at ease without having to tell me to chill out.

I often look at his life and think about how blessed he is despite everything that he’s been through/going through. When I think about who he is as a person, the energy he spreads, and the people whom he attract in his life, it all makes sense. What goes around really comes around. You attract what you put into the universe. If you hang with fearful, negative, unhappy people. 9 times out of 10 you are going to be fearful, negative and an unhappy person. I couldn’t imagine missing that view because I almost let fear take that moment away from me. Improving our attitude and living a more positive life is not an easy task, but it can be done. I’m constantly learning to spread love, not hate. I’m learning to stay more positive and encouraged in situations that I’m not comfortable with. Smile at someone today, express gratitude today, compliment someone today, and continue to attract positivity to your life. What goes around comes back around for sure, just make sure what goes around you is always positive.
