The Good/Not So Good.....(Los Angeles)

My bank account is suffering! šŸ˜‚ Instead of calling Los Angeles (LaLa Land), they need to change it to Cha Ching Land. We havenā€™t been here a full two weeks yet and our bank account is looking like weā€™ve spent a month in Houston. Ohhh Key it canā€™t be that bad!

$150 FOR A PARKING SPOT!

$150 FOR A PARKING SPOT!

Biiiiihhhhhh! You know Iā€™m hot! When have you ever paid $150 for parking? Never in my life would I think I would pay an additional $150 to park in a garage thatā€™s down the street from my apartment. How you gone make me pay and walk, I feel bamboozled! Rent is sky high, Drinks $20, they charge $60 for day partyā€™s, this isnā€™t right šŸ˜‚ If you live in LA, you the shit, literally! Iā€™m trying to figure out how people survive down here. No wonder the homeless population is so big.

The Bad

Traffic- Think about a time youā€™ve been in traffic and wanted to literally scream, now multiply that by 3. Thatā€™s LA traffic.

Nothings cheap- When I say nothing, I mean not a goddamn thing!

Apartments/Homes- The smallest Iā€™ve ever seen for the Biggest (capital B) prices Iā€™ve ever seen. No parking permits. Will get a $67 ticket if you park on the street. Have to pay additional fees for parking.

People- Cool, but Rude. Itā€™s weird. Most people donā€™t speak, smile, or talk to you. Iā€™m cool with that though. Everyone seems to be very open and non judgmental. Most are very materialistic. But if you got it, do you!

Homeless population- Iā€™ve never seen so many homeless people in my life. I mean the weather is super nice here, so I understand, but sheesh! Itā€™s sad. The homeless people are also a bit aggressive. Iā€™ve gotten so used to them now, I just pretend theyā€™re my neighbors.

Drugs- My eyes have been opened to the true meaning of addiction. I want to cry sometimes when I see ALOT of young people out here on hardcore drugs. Sometimes it seems surreal. It will be broad daylight and youā€™ll see somebody just strung out on the ground.

The Good

Inspiring- LA is the city of dreams. Everybody wants to be or feel like theyā€™re somebody here! I love it because itā€™s motivating and it shows the passion and dedication that many have for their specific art.

Weather- The weather is absolutely perfect. I could literally sit outside all day!

Very diverse- The most diverse place Iā€™ve ever been to. Which brings great food, open minds, and multiple learning opportunities about different cultures.

Food- Any food you can think of, you can find it right here in LA. Everything Iā€™ve had so far has been delicious. Im excited to start trying more ethnic food from different cultures.

Active- I feel fat here. 86% of people Iā€™ve seen have been in shape šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø Itā€™s motivating AF!

Overall, LA is a an amazing city to come visit. Right now, I wouldnā€™t put this on my relocation list. It just doesnā€™t seem very ā€œfamily orientedā€ and I want something different for my future kids. Iā€™ve only been here for a short time though, so Iā€™m staying positive and enjoying the ride. Keep our bank account in your prayers. Yā€™all know I'm cheap, and we love to eat šŸ˜© Now here's some cute pics. Top and Shorts from a boutique in Houston (JUSTIN) Sandals-Burlington Coat Factory.
